Functional extension:
The options for controlling the safe brake control (SBC) have been expanded. With this extension, it is now possible to control the brake based on the STO function. No distinction is made between whether the STO function is requested directly via local safe inputs or the safety bus, or whether the STO state is entered as a result of a fault response
Included in the following products:
i950 Extended Safety V02.0.1.13212
Application:
New parameter:0x28E6:005 - SBC: Source "STO Active" with three setting values:
0: Deactivated (default)
1: Activated w/ "Delay SBC"
2: Activated w/o "Delay SBC"
Up to firmware and parameter set version 1.5, the SBC function could only be activated via a safe input and / or a control bit on the safety bus.
If the safety device had enabled STO as a fault response, SBC was not activated.
Starting with firmware and parameter set version 2.0, index 0x28E6:005 – SBC: Source “STO Active” is available as an additional control signal for the SBC function.
This allows the SBC function to be activated directly by the STO state as a fault response.
