Statement by Steffen Schwerd, Head of Sales EMEA Central at Lenze, on the cancellation of the Hannover Messe 2020

As exhibitors from the very beginning, we regret the cancellation of the Hannover Messe 2020, but at the same time we see no alternative. It is important for us to be there for our customers and potential customers as a strong partner right now. As an innovation leader and pioneer of digitalization, we have many alternatives available to us.

With our range of products and services, we have always made the digital change manageable for our customers. Now we are also increasingly relying on digital possibilities for the collaboration with our customers and presentation of our systems, products and services. Our series of whitepapers on IIoT topics as well as training courses and webinars on our automation platform have been available free of charge since last week. We will continue to expand this offer.

In the next few weeks we will be launching a series of webcasts on current trends and challenges facing machine manufacturers. In accordance with the motto "from trend to reality", the new webcasts are there to offer concrete solutions for the implementation in practice. We are already in a position to accompany our customers with our software tools throughout the entire digital engineering process, from the idea to production.

In times like these, it becomes even clearer how important digitalization is for mechanical engineering in particular, helping to reduce costs, become more efficient and faster. With the digital twin, design and commissioning is already completely virtual. Another example is our Easy System Designer, an innovative web-based engineering tool with which the user can carry out the complete planning of machine solutions, consisting of automation and drive components and software.

There are endless possibilities - and Lenze is happy to accompany its customers on the path of digital transformation. We are using the current global changes in market conditions productively to drive the digital age forward at all levels. Digital solutions and personal contact via all channels which are available to us - that is what customers can continue to expect from Lenze in the future.
