Hanover Fair 2019 Newsroom

Once a pioneer, always a pioneer.

The demands placed on modern machines and production facilities are complex. True to the motto of this year's Hanover Fair "Home of Industrial Pioneers", Lenze was presenting itself as a trend-setting innovator and pioneer with the campaign "Automation goes blue - INTUITIVE AUTOMATION".

Lenze not only offers orientation, but also perspectives and solutions, making the development of machines as simple and efficient as possible.

  • Based on good partnership: Together we are thinking ahead and seize the opportunities of the digital transformation.
  • Based on good engineering: End-to-end engineering process is key to efficiently develop machines for the smart factory.
  • Now: We are already combining hardware, software and brainware to create immediately available solutions.

News during the Hanover Fair 2019

Have a look at the highlights at and around our stand.

Claudia Dörr-Voß, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy paid us a visit at our stand. Our CTO Frank Maier, Konrad Cop and Patrick Bruder took the time to explain our exhibit Plug & Prdouce to Mrs. Dörr-Voß and gave an insight into the production of the future.

Markus Kiele-Dunsche and Daniel Olivotti presented the topic "From the business model to the technical solution for the availability of machines in the industry" at the InnoServPro final conference. Using an example from our subsidiary bhn, they demonstrated an availability-oriented business model in an industrial context. In this process, the industrial value creation network between component manufacturers, machine builders, system integrators and machine operators is considered and efficiently supported by technical solutions.

Our CEO Christian Wendler in an interview with the VDMA: "Industry 4.0 and the associated trend topics of digitization and IIoT are picking up speed more and more". In that talk, Christian Wendler revealed that this will mean a major change process for value creation. Despite all the predictions of the VDMA, however, Lenze expects positive figures and considers itself to be ideally positioned for such a change.

Uwe Keiter presents our vision of the production of the future at the Forum Automation with our exhibit Plug & Produce.

In contrast to our stand, where we mainly exhibited products that can already be bought today, we presented our future projects at the joint It's OWL stand. At the end of the fourth day of the fair, our CTO Frank Maier also spoke to Wolfgang Marquardt in an interview about machine learning; the highlight of the It's OWL stand.

Local power at its best also at the Hanover Fair. Our COO Jochen Heier met with Dr. Axel Lehmann, Head of the District of the Country of Lippe to talk, among other things, about our future project, the Mechatronic Competence Campus.
