With consumer goods coming from all over the world, air freight is indispensable to replenish them. We also play our part in this. Lödige Systems GmbH in Warburg ensures the complete material flow for the air freight facility in the freight terminal at Helsinki-Vantaa airport, with drive technology from Lenze inside.
Lödige Industries is one of the world's leading suppliers of logistics systems and plants with more than 1000 employees and branches in Europe, Asia, America and the Middle East. For more than 70 years, the company has relied on quality, innovation and a spirit of partnership. Lödige Industries' teams of experts develop systems ranging from elevators to complex material flow systems in response to the individual requirements of their customers, and these systems are among the best in the world.
The heart of the system is the storage and transport system for air freight containers and pallets. Several Elevating Transfer Vehicles (ETV) for payloads up to about 7 tons as well as storage and retrieval machines (SRM) for payloads up to 1.5 tons are on the way in the plant. While Lenze geared motors in conjunction with 9400 Servo Drives are mainly used for the lifting and travel drives, Lödige Systems uses Lenze Smart Motors and the 8400 motec decentralised frequency inverter for the upstream conveyor technology. This technology makes it possible to distribute air freight quickly around the world and thus reach the consumer.
