RFI and mains filters
RFI and mains filters are used to comply with EMC requirements in accordance with the European standard EN 61800-3, which defines EMC requirements for electrical drive systems in various categories.
- Category C1 is applicable in public networks (residential areas).
- Category C2 is applicable in public networks (residential and commercial areas) at the discretion of the competent, responsible user.
- Category C3 is applicable in industrial networks.
- A choke is also integrated in the mains filter.
