Lenze in Austria
Founded 1971 in Kristein (near Enns) as a subsidiary of the global German Motion Centric Automatic specialist, Lenze Austria has grown over the years into a strong group with around 300 employees.
Lenze Austria Holding combines four business divisions under one roof:
- Lenze Antriebstechnik GmbH,
- Lenze Antriebstechnik Central and Eastern Europe,
- Lenze Verbindungstechnik GmbH and
- Lenze Operations Austria GmbH.
Automation and drive technology expertise - from a single source.
Drawing on decades of experience and continuous development, today we occupy a pole position in the drive technology sector. As a full-range supplier in this field our product portfolio ranges from electric drives and electrical engineering to visualisation and control systems. A spectrum whose diversity is virtually unique on the market. The products themselves are high quality, innovative and perfectly matched and can be easily extended or combined. This seamless scalability helps, among other, to preclude overdimensioning and save costs - and not only in terms of the initial investment, but also subsequently, during operation.
In fact, as an automation and drive technology partner, Lenze makes life a lot easier: our expert consultants involve customers at the brainstorming stage, then move on to concept and project-planning before we manufacture a product that suits the relevant application. We then commission the desired turnkey solution and ensure its perfect working order throughout the installation's service life.
The engineering department rounds off Lenze's portfolio with hardware and software engineering, supplying and commissioning electrical switchgear.
This application know-how, in which drive technology challenges play a major role, constitutes our main core competence. Qualified partners are then responsible for manufacturing the switchgear.
Thanks to our long-standing experience in switchgear UL certification, we are a reliable technology partner to customers not only in Europe, but also in the United States and Canada.
The perfect link between machine and motor.
For Lenze Austria, the use of drive elements has played an important role since the 1970s; continuous high success in this business sector even led to the establishment of our own company, Lenze Verbindungstechnik, in 1999. Our range of products includes switchable brakes and couplings, shaft couplings, hydraulic locking bushes, mechanical clamping elements, cardan joints and belt drives. Indeed in Austria we now lead the market in mechanical couplings. Our speciality is competent sales advice supplied by the mechanical engineering experts in our sales department and coverage of the complete drive train in collaboration with the other divisions of Lenze Austria Group. In fact everything fits together so perfectly, unnecessary overdimensioning is precluded.
A customised geared motor within a couple of hours - in emergencies we make the impossible possible for our customers.
Lenze Operations Austria maintains one of Central Europe's largest drive technology warehouses. In addition, our Asten site was extended in 2012 to become one of three Lenze logistics hubs for the whole of Europe. The necessary infrastructure is supplied by a modern high-bay warehouse accommodating up to 9,000 pallets and 18,000 containers. The warehouse stocks more than 20,000 different articles. Another highlight is the investment in the Lenze Logistics Centre Austria: a new paint shop with an annual output of up to 120,000 geared motors, which leave the line at a rate of one every two minutes, and the expansion of current assembly facilities. This means that since autumn 2012 the Asten plant can even assemble the largest of gearboxes (BG 11 and 14) supplied by Lenze, not to mention series Inverter Drives 8400 and Servo Drives 9400. Customers thus benefit from even shorter lead times and greater flexibility.
Another vital focus is cable and wire assembly. Depending on customer requirements, cable technology products are supplied as individual wires, cables and cable harnesses or as ready-to-install systems (modules) along with the option of core identification to the customer's specifications.

e.matric was founded in 2007 in Landeck (Tirol) with the aim of offering services for automation technology. In 2011 the branch office was opened in Fürstenfeld (Steiermark). Meanwhile, more than 50 technicians are employed at e.matric.
Capturing customer requirements, identifying needs and solving problems - that is the strength of e.matric. At regular intervals and with due diligence, our trained staff is servicing the customer facilities. This ensures optimum functional and service life and protects against expensive failures.
The use of state-of-the-art creativity techniques and assessment methods enables a systematic concept development for customer-specific complete solutions from a single source. From the simple production layout to the 3D-CAD created special machine.
Whether it is control level, conveyor, process or robotic technology, our programmers have many years of experience in creating customer-specific control software and related systems.
e.matric offers real-time realization thanks to the combination of control technology and simulation with common fieldbus systems - this allows for a higher engineering quality and thus a shortened start-up time.
Good support and trained staff are a must for any system and facility. We as e.matric offer customized trainings to minimize disturbance times and to operate your plant with optimal parameters.
