German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visits Lenze at Hannover Messe 2022

Lenze shows how machine builders and machine operators can save energy and also material

The opening of Hannover Messe on the first day of the fair traditionally features a tour by the German Chancellor. Here, exhibitors show their innovations and trends.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Portuguese Prime Minister Antònio Costa were guests at the Lenze stand. Christian Wendler, CEO Lenze SE, showed how digitalization and sustainability are interrelated and how Lenze thereby supports the German government and Germany in achieving the climate targets.

At the exhibit, the Chancellor was able to see how smart data saves energy. The difference is noticeable from the heat of the two motors in the exhibit, as the energy-optimized motor produces significantly less heat. With intelligent automation systems, Lenze is helping to save up to 50% energy in production in Germany.

Olaf Scholz was impressed by how Lenze is using smart data to help achieve greater sustainability in mechanical engineering.
