Lenze honoured in the "Encyclopaedia of German Family Businesses"

"Family businesses are the stable pillar of the German economy", according to the publishers of the “Lexikon der deutschen Familienunternehmen” (Encyclopaedia of German Family Businesses). Lenze has been a family business for almost 75 years – and this is noticeable both in the day-to-day dealings of the Lenzians with each other as well as the long-term strategic orientation of the group of companies. A separate contribution in the lexicon is therefore virtually a matter of course. The third edition of the publication pays tribute to the spearhead of family businesses as the essential backbone of the German economy.

"For us, being a modern family business means delivering world-class performance at all levels - for customers, for partners and for our employees," says Christian Wendler, CEO Lenze.

More than 90 percent of all German companies are family businesses. They generate around 2/3 of the gross domestic product and provide the majority of all jobs and training places. Lenze is also making its contribution to these figures and is constantly demonstrating how successfully the company meets all challenges such as globalization or digitalization.

More than 1,000 German family businesses are represented in the encyclopaedia. Data, facts, graphics and photos convey company structures, the economic situation as well as impressions of the country and its people. The book premiere took place on 4 November 2020 as part of this year's virtual "German Business Forum digital". The book is available for free sale.
